Restructuring

We have had a massive start to the New Year with work booking us out until June. Its also giving us pause to reflect on our business and make the decision to scale back and restructure how we move forward.

With Allan turing 60 this year, and as of June, we have decided to stop building boundary fences (better suited to younger fit blokes) and instead concentrate on front fences, all types of gates, wing fences and pool and spa fencing. This was not an easy decision as Allan loves what he does, but we feel its the right choice, and it enables Allan to keep building but without the heavy lifting of large fence posts which are involved in boundary fences. As many of our regular clients know Allan builds all his fences including pull downs by himself. It is hard strenuous work and as he is getting older the recovery time from each job is getting longer.

We thought about employing someone to help in the past, but have found young ones want exborbiant daily wages with stipulations they are not digging holes etc. As that is the main point of the job and as there is very little profit in fencing Allan decided to keep going by himself.

Quoting has also closed as we find while people say they are prepared to wait, the reality is very few do, and as quoting might be free to you there is the cost of running our vehicle and time costs to us. Quoting will possibly resume around end April begining of May. As soon as quoting reopens we will advertise on fb and on our website.
